Dr. 姚扬格 is the 俄亥俄州 Arts Council, 2020 俄亥俄州 Heritage Fellowship Awardee and  Carnegie African Diaspora Fellow, 2019. The sights and sounds of Africa fill the air. 帕斯卡尔出生在凌晨, a village in the Volta Region of Ghana, to Augustine Kwasigah 永吉 and Catherine 永吉, 两个音乐家. His parents introduced him to western and traditional Ghanaian musical instruments at an early age of 3. It was no surprise that by age 8, Paschal had learned to play the organ and violin, accompanied the church choir with traditional African instruments, and participated in community cultural groups. 在他一生中, Paschal has continued studying and teaching other western musical instruments such as the trumpet, 角, 长号, 大号, 中音萨克斯风, 和单簧管, and various traditional Ghanaian musical types and instruments.
